On March 12, the U.S. Embassy organized an event in honor of International Women’s Day which featured five successful women from Macedonia, giving talks on topics in their area of expertise. The talks covered investigative journalism, personal success stories, primary education, and a feminist analysis of the judicial and executive branches of government. Our distinguished speakers were: Nikica Mojsoska-Blazevski, Vesela Bogdanovic, Anita Latifi, Meri Jordanovska and Karolina Ristova Aasterud. Musical Guests: Jana Burceska and Eleni Mickovska.

With an opening speech by the US Ambassador to Macedonia, Jess Baily, the Evening of Inspiring Ideas kicked off at the American Embassy in Skopje, in honor and celebration of the International Women’s Day.  See more
