The March edition of the Scientix Newsletter introduces all the latest developments in the third stage of the project, funded by the Horizon 2020 framework of the European Union for research and innovation and anounces the 358 new Scientix Ambassadors and 27 new National Contact Points.
One of these 27 National Contact Points accross the Erupean countries and National Contact Points for Republics of Macedonia are the Friends of Education.
The importance of the trust that was given to us as an association can be seen through the list of selected national contact points when most of them are Ministries of Education of certain European countries.
Therefore the efforts of the Friends of Education in the future will relate to:
• Providing a link between different actions at European and national level, by engaging with national communities of STEM professionals, providing information about Scientix activities and organising national workshops, webinars and other relevant activities.
• Monitoring and analysing national initiatives regarding science education policies and practices, to provide an overview of national initiatives in science education across Europe.
Maja Videnovic was elected for #Scientix ambassador for the same period and she will coordinate Scientix activities of the association in the future. She, like Scientix Ambassador will help to share Scientix activities at national level and play an active role in supporting innovation in STEM education in their countries. This activities are essential for expanding and consolidating a community whose core values reside in sharing of good classroom practice, especially in the area of STEM, and making sure that students are equipped with the skills needed to become successful adults.
Scientix Ambassadors are expected to:
• Disseminate Scientix at national level via social media and face to face presentations.
• Help the exchange of knowledge and good practices in the area of Science Education.
• Support and improve Science Education in general
