Educators and administrators can now express their interest in attending new five-day courses on the use of mobile technologies and the Internet of things in education. The courses are planned for November 2018, March 2019 and July 2019 in Patras, Greece. The courses make use of materials, results and experiences of the UMI-Sci-Ed project, including guides and relevant educational materials, training scenarios, online peer-learning platforms and hardware kits.
Digital skills, vocational training, professional development and education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are promoted during this course, which focuses on sectors that will shape our lives over the decades to come. Participants in the course will develop their entrepreneurial skills, by learning about the impact of mobile technologies and the Internet of things. As a result, it is expected that the participants will not only learn how they can transform their organisations, but acquire knowledge and materials that they can bring back to their communities, regions and countries.
