Poster competition regarding good STEM practices presenting innovative teaching activities was announced in order to give teachers an opportunity to present different innovative approaches towards teaching STEM subjects with their own choice of activities, showing raised students participation in the activities and raised interest for learning STEM subjects.
Different STEM teachers’ activities, ideas and examples of good practices were collected from the teachers. During the competition a lot of classroom and extra curriculum activities were carried out, different pedagogical approaches and assessment methods were used. Teachers applied with posters representing these approaches and description of the activities.
During the Third Educational Conference, an exhibition was organized to select the best poster presentations and design solutions by the expert jury and audience and were awarded the following awards:
First prize by the Professional Jury – “Do not be angry bird, teach physics” by Nikola Delevski High School “Nikola Karev” Strumica.
First prize by the audience – “Reaction of carbonates with acids” by Aleksandra Blazhevska, primary school “Jan Amos Komenski”.
Second prize by the audience- ,,Transform the classroom with a virtual reality from Slavica Stojchevska Elementary School “11 Oktomvri” Kumanovo.
Third prize by the audience – “Experimenting in physics from Verche Petrova primary school” Zivko Brajkovski “.
The 30 most successful posters were presented at the Third #EduConference2017 and printed in a catalog that can be downloaded on the following link.
